Unless you are SURE about BIG plans, the "Store Build It! Starter" is the
right place to start. What difference is there between that and a PayPal
BuyNow button? You...
- get a subdomain store
- can build product pages that double as content pages,
- can clear with your own credit card
- can still use PayPal, too
- get your feet wet and see if this is right for you.
If you ONLY need the occasional "Buy Now" button, then PayPal
may be fine for you. If business takes off, it's a bit of work, but
not too much, to build a store that replaces the PayPal buttons later.
You can still accept PayPal of course, it's just that you'll also be
able to host a full "store" too, under your own subdomain.
